What management genuinely can't do for you

An honest list of the limits — more useful before you sign than after.

Updated 6 August 2026

Most agency pages list everything management does for you. This is the other half of that list. Almost every unhappy creator-agency relationship starts with a limit nobody stated out loud — not with a failure of effort on either side.

Everything except the filming can be taken off you. The filming cannot.

It can't manufacture content

Content is the single input only the creator supplies. If nothing is delivered, there is nothing to post, promote, sell or price. Every other function in a management operation is downstream of a file that has to exist first.

This is the most common way a page stalls — not a bad strategy or a weak launch, but a shoot that keeps getting pushed. A team can plan around a lean week and reuse a back catalogue for a while. Nothing survives a content drought, and a quiet page loses subscribers faster than it gained them.

Signing removes the parts of the job most people find draining. It does not remove the part most people find hard. Some creators find that a relief: the admin was what they hated. Others discover that with the admin gone, the thing they were avoiding was the camera. Worth knowing about yourself before you commit to anyone.

It can't guarantee earnings

Nobody can promise a number. Earnings depend on your niche, your consistency, your comfort on camera, what you deliver, and a fair amount of luck about which promo lands. Treat a guaranteed figure as a hard signal: anyone who gives you one either doesn't understand the business or is knowingly lying to close you. Experience improves the odds and shortens the learning curve. It does not convert a page into a salary.

It can't make you invisible

Geo-blocking works, but it cannot exclude Australia, the US, the UK or Canada — that is where nearly all spending fans are. Blocking your home town or a small country is a reasonable, limited measure. Blocking the entire English-speaking market is not a privacy setting, it is closing the business.

The second uncomfortable part: showing your face is effectively required to earn well. Faceless pages exist and some do fine, but they work against the mechanism the platform runs on. Fans subscribe to a person they feel they know, and a page with no face gives them little to attach to.

Leaks are the same story. Takedowns are real work and they genuinely help — they cut a leak's reach and make reposting tedious enough that most people stop. What they don't do is erase anything. Once a file has been downloaded, it exists somewhere beyond anyone's reach. Decide what you film on that basis, assuming the worst-case audience rather than the intended one.

What is genuinely available is a smaller attack surface: a working name, separate accounts, controlled metadata, careful backgrounds, active takedowns. Meaningfully better than nothing — not invisibility, and anyone offering invisibility is selling something that doesn't exist.

What it can actually do

What we handle

  • Profile setup, page structure and presentation
  • All social media posting and scheduling
  • Chatting with fans, across time zones
  • Promotion and audience growth
  • Pricing, upsells and retention strategy
  • Compliance, verification and platform admin
  • Takedowns and brand protection
  • The plan, and holding you to it

What only you can do

  • Turn up and film
  • Deliver content to the plan, on time
  • Take feedback on it and adjust
  • Decide your own boundaries
  • Be the person fans are subscribing to
  • Say when you are running out of energy

That left column is not a small thing. It is most of the working week, and it is the part that stops people before they start. Handing it over buys back the time and attention the right column needs — the only column that cannot be delegated.

This is a general description of how full-service management works, not advice about your situation, and nothing here is a projection of earnings. Terms differ between agencies — read what you are signing.
